Grouse Butt Marker
Avoid embarrassment! The ELK Grouse Butt Marker ensures you don't
forget a grouse. The marker disc has distance zones marked on one side,
to log the grouse you've shot. Any birds marked on the disc are easily
wiped off as they are retrieved. The reverse prompts notes to satisfy
the most particular of grouse shots. The leather wallet is made from
selected vegetable tanned hide. It contains a compass with brass surround
to record wind direction etc., a solid brass fixing spike, a rain fast
marker crayon and a spare. A leather thong connects the spike, the disc
and the marker crayon.
Can be initialled in a type style popular before the 2nd world war.
